2022: Demonstrating an ability and maturity beyond his years, the youngster made seven appearances for NYCFC II in our inaugural MLS NEXT Pro campaign, and was named in England’s Under-16 squad for the first time in November.
2021: NYCFC signed Academy product Christian McFarlane to a Homegrown contract through the 2026 season with an option for 2027. The 14-year-old defender becomes the sixth Homegrown signing in Club history, and since the Academy was formed in 2015. At just 14 years and 7 months, McFarlane is the third-youngest player to sign a First Team contract in MLS history.
2018: McFarlane joined the NYCFC Academy from JIGS Soccer Training School in 2018 and has recently been playing for the NYCFC U-17 team in the MLS Next League.
